YHVH (The LORD) has Promised you Great Wealth!

Yes I am a prosperity teacher!

I have heard many a preacher and teacher say that we should serve YHVH (The LORD) for no reward but simply because of the fact that He is who He is. This idea has always made me feel so much inner turmoil and guilt. For years I thought myself a terrible man with a heart full of greed, and though this may be so to a degree, as I strive to be a Tzadik (Righteous man) it is not entirely true. Like most people I do have a good battle every now and again with my inner ‘’old man’’ to walk righteously before my King. However the thing that really saddens me is that we have enough REAL battles of obedience to fight without these types of unwinnable ‘’false flags’’ being thrown in our way.

Does YHVH (The LORD) actually expect us to serve Him with ZERO expectation of reward?

What would our lives be like and how motivated would we be to study and do YHVH’s Word if we understood that keeping The Covenant was more profitable than any man made professional qualification?

Could this be so? Let’s have a look at what our Covenant contract states.

Deu 28:1 “And if you faithfully obey the voice of YHVH (the LORD) your Elohim (God), being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, YHVH (the LORD) your Elohim (God) will set you high above all the nations of the earth. 2 And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, if you obey the voice of YHVH (the LORD) your Elohim (God).

Mmmmmm? Interesting! Read that text all the way through to vs 14 and you will see PHYICAL blessing after physical blessing, don’t believe me? Go read it, right now, go get your Scripture and read it. Maybe this was a massive TYPO on Moshe’s (Moses) account?

Deu 11:13 “And if you will indeed obey my commandments that I command you today, to love YHVH (the LORD) your Elohim (God), and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 He will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the later rain, that you may gather in your grain and your wine and your oil. 15 And he will give grass in your fields for your livestock, and you shall eat and be full. 16 Take care lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them; 17 then the anger of YHVH (the LORD) will be kindled against you, and he will shut up the heavens, so that there will be no rain, and the land will yield no fruit, and you will perish quickly off the good land that YHVH (the LORD) is giving you.

Mmmmmm? To me that sounds like reward for serving YHVH (The LORD) Moshe’s dictation skills are terrible!

Deu 7:12 “And because you listen to these rules and keep and do them, YHVH (the LORD) your Elohim (God) will keep with you the covenant and the steadfast love that he swore to your fathers. 13 He will love you, bless you, and multiply you. He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your wine and your oil, the increase of your herds and the young of your flock, in the land that he swore to your fathers to give you. 14 You shall be blessed above all peoples. There shall not be male or female barren among you or among your livestock.

Mmmmmm? Are you noticing a problem?

Now this next vs totally floored me!

Deu 8:18 You shall remember YHVH (the LORD) your Elohim (God), for it is he who gives you power to get wealth, THAT HE MAY CONFIRM HIS COVENANT that he swore to your fathers, AS IT IS THIS DAY.

WHAT?!

Wealth is a sign that The Covenant has been confirmed with us, imagine that!

Now I have heard it taught, multiple times about the covenant sign of circumcision, the covenant sign of Shabbat and the covenant sign of the practice of Pesach (Passover) BUT I have never ever been taught by anyone, that WEALTH is also a part of the group of signs of being in covenant with YHVH (The LORD)!

The whole Covenant agreement is about ‘’BLESSINGS and CURSES.’’

BLESSINGS if we uphold/do The Covenant. CURSES if we fail to do The Covenant.

Isaiah tells us… Isa 45:19 I did not speak in secret, in a land of darkness; I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, ‘Seek me in VAIN (for nothing).’ I the YHVH (The LORD) speak the truth;…

There are multiple other Tanakh (OT) witnesses but I think the point has been established.

All we need to do is SHEMA (Hear/Obey) our righteous Kings Instructions/Torah and He will reward us now in this life and in the World to come as HE has promised.

Now if you anything like me your mind will start throwing all sorts of arguments to challenge these bold statements.

Q. Surely there righteous poor people? A. Yes there are, for example Job BUT Job was restored to double what he had before.

Q. There is example of the lame man the Messiah told us was that way for no sin but instead for The Kingdom, A. he too was restored.

Q. Messiah was poor. A. Wise men who could arrive in Jerusalem and immediately get an audience with the king would never have been poor peasants carrying a single piece of each gift they brought. Think about it would a bunch of poor men from a foreign country arrive in Washington DC and get an audience with president Obama? If they somehow managed that, would he believe whatever these peasants said?

Q. Messiah and his disciples were poor. A. Have you ever met a group of poor men who needed to have an ‘’accountant’’ as part of their group?

Q. Messiah and His disciples were poor. A. When Messiah feeds the multitude in Mark 6:37-38 He instructs the disciples to feed the people then in their reply they ask should we spend 200 denarii on bread. This tells us their accountant had enough money on him to feed 5000 people!

Q. Peter said Silver and gold I do not have. A. How many times has a homeless beggar asked you for money and you checked your pockets and they were empty and you gave the modern equivalent response of ‘’silver and gold I do not have’’ but that did not mean you were poor, it just meant that you did not have any money on you at the time.

I guess we could go on back and forth about these examples with arguments for and against these ideas, the point of the post was to give us all something to think about with regards to the fullness of The Blessings YHVH (The LORD) has promised to ALL who enter and KEEP His Covenant.

Now I must confess YHVH (The LORD) has not confirmed His Covenant with me, I am not wealthy, so I am not saying this as if I am in a position of Righteousness and Blessing, HOWEVER it is my mission to become a trust worthy and faithful servant, that it may please my King to confirm His Covenant with me and my family, and this is my prayer and hope for you and your family TOO!

Shalom.
